2018: the CSA is full! Please contact us if you are interested for more information
How it works:
Based on positive feedback from our "Market-style" CSA last year, we will go ahead in the same fashion this year.
Members or shareholders can purchase a "share" or credit in early spring that will ensure them a share of the farm's harvest that season. Then, each week between early-June and mid-October we will harvest, wash and pack a diversity of high quality, delicious produce for you!
Beginning as soon as the season allows, Friday evenings from 5-6pm, we will open the doors of the packing shed and put out a selection of our best veggies and you can come and spend your credit. This system offers much more flexibility for you than a typical basket-style CSA, as you have no obligation to show up every week and you can choose exactly what you like. It continues to work for us as long as we are going to the Halifax market the next day.
Initial shares can be increments of $200 or $400. Share credits must be used up by the end of the season. As last year, we will offer a mid-season top-up option for your credit and then will turn to cash for the last month of the season.
